Numa Incerta Melodia - In an Uncertain Melody - is an initiative that combines the beauty of poetry with cinematography, showcasing iconic literary works in unique spaces throughout Castelo Branco.
Guided by the motto "One person, one poem, one place," this cultural project used film to bring to life the poetry recited by Albicastrenses, emphasising that "poetry transforms when spoken aloud, even if we feel it as an uncertain melody."
I had the opportunity to collaborate with a talented team, where I took multiple roles as director, camera, editor, and motion designer for both the video poems and promotional teaser.
As key elements of the project, the readers selected both the poem and place for reading. This not only promoted a sense of belonging and authenticity, but also engaged readers more deeply in the project. By exploring the relationship with the space and the reader, it was possible to create a connection that the audience could relate to.
The video poems were presented at Cine-Teatro Avenida in Castelo Branco and shared on institutional channels, highlighting a captivating celebration of poetry and the beauty of the city.
