Máquina do Tempo - Time Machine - is an initiative that explores photographic memories, inviting people to engage in discussions and reflections on historical events. This edition featured a photograph capturing the moment when people first gathered to celebrate Dia da Liberdade in Castelo Branco.
The challenge was to transform the photograph into a cinematic experience, bridging the visual narrative with the historical context. Through 3D Camera Mapping, I crafted an immersive journey, breaking down the image into distinct layers. The intentional restriction of camera movement within the photo's frame led to the use of tighter compositions, enhancing the 3D effect. This approach was meant to transport viewers to that specific moment, offering a vivid experience and letting them relive the history.
The resulting film was screened at Cine-Teatro Avenida of Castelo Branco and shared on the institutional channels.
